Instagram Shopping Tab is Disappearing Soon (Updated 2023)
Almost every business on Instagram was using Insta shop very aggressively but soon it will not be available for users.

Instagram & Meta is soon making some positive changes in its mobile UI where they will be removing the Instagram shopping tab from the navigation bar at the bottom.
Currently with Instagram shopping users can get a lot of info about any store they are exploring. It gives their business an immersive storefront for people to explore the store’s best products, which includes:
- A customisable shops to showcase whole product catalog
- Product tags
- Product detail pages
- Product Collections
- Advertising the whole product collection
Few businesses in the USA also allowed its users to complete checkout on the mobile app itself and were also announcing their new product launches on the Instagram mobile app.

During that period, Instagram announced its intentions to reduce some of its shopping capabilities. It advised its staff that they would prioritize their efforts towards ad-based income, which was Meta’s main source of money at the time.
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced on his Twitter profile that coming February 2023, Instagram app navigation is changing. The only purpose for this change is to make the app more entertaining.
The team will be removing the Instagram Shopping tab navigation, But businesses will still be able to set up and run their Instagram shop and provide a shopping experience that provides the most value for people and businesses across feeds, stories, reels, ads and more.
